To get the master sword in Legend of Zelda you need to get to korok forest. The lost woods is right behind Hyrule Castle, which has been inhabited by the demon Calamity Ganon. Technically you'd think it'd be hard to get the sword that seals
the darkness, but it is really quite simple.

How to get to the lost woods is a bit of a challenge, but if you
have the right equipment and food, you can make it. First, you
should head over to Rito stable. Those who haven't gotten
there yet, it is at the farthest northeast corner of the map.
It is right by Rito Village, hometown to the Rito race. Once
you get there, you go to the LEFT SIDE of the stable. There is a fork in the road here. Take the left path and follow it for a
while. You will come to tabantha village ruins. There is an
encampment of monsters here, including the blue lizafos, the
ice chuchu, and the black moblin. I suggest avoiding the fight,
because there are a lot of monsters that can freeze you, so it's
really not worth it. Once you get past them, you'll see a sheikah tower. You should probably get the map, so that you know

come to the bend in the path and you will find a white maned
lynel. You do not have to defeat it, but when you get past it,
there is a mountain on the left side. Scale that mountain and
you will see on the left side the lost woods. You should circle
around it to the sheikah tower.
How to get the map for lost woods
The sheikah tower will be difficult to get to the top of, because
there is a huge camp of monsters on boardwalks and also a big pool of malice surrounding it. You either need to use Revali's gale, or equip the rune Cryonis. If you use Cryonis, you need to
aim it's reticle and make a path to the tower. If you use Revali's
gale, just ride the gale to the tower, and climb up. Get the map
and head to the entrance of the lost woods.
How to get to the master sword
Head into the forest, and you will be enveloped in fog, do not fight this, because it will bring you to where you need to go. You will appear at a single torch. Turn to the right, and head
forward. You will come to another torch. Go in a wide, circular motion until you get to the next torch. After this, turn to the right, and go forward. You will come to two torches, with a normal torch in between. Light the normal torch and stop. The flames will point in the direction you need to go.
Head in this direction for five seconds and stop. (check the flame's direction) Repeat this pattern for a little while, and stop
when you get to the big, hollow log. Head through the log, and
you will come to the pedestal with the master sword.
How to draw the master sword from the pedestal
You need THIRTEEN FULL HEART CONTAINERS TO DRAW THE SWORD, otherwise you will DIE. Pulling the sword will drain your life slowly, until it comes to
the last quarter of the last heart container, and then you will
pull it free.

Master Sword tips =
1. It will last for a while fighting, and it will break, but you
cannot lose it, it will still be in your inventory. I guess you could just say it's dormant.
2. It stays dormant for about ten minutes.
3. If you have all your hearts full, then you can shoot a blast
from the sword, and the more hearts you have the farther it will go.
